Research summary
This experiment compared graded DDGS inclusion in commercial broiler diets.
Objective
Evaluate feed intake, growth, feed conversion and survival.
Methodology / scope
The 42-day study used 180 chicks in five groups with three replicates each. Diets contained 0, 5, 10, 15 or 20% DDGS.
Main findings
Final weight declined as inclusion increased. The 5% group recorded the best overall feed conversion, while the unsupplemented control had the highest final weight.
Conclusion
The authors preferred 5% inclusion within their experimental conditions; higher inclusion was not consistently advantageous.
