Research summary
This study investigated blood biochemical and antioxidant responses to amla supplementation in broilers.
Objective
Compare serum lipids, proteins, enzymes and antioxidant markers across dietary treatments.
Methodology / scope
A 42-day trial allocated 180 chicks to four diets containing 0, 0.25, 0.50 or 0.75% amla powder, with three replicates per group.
Main findings
Cholesterol, triglycerides, superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase differed between groups. Total serum protein, AST and ALT did not show significant differences.
Conclusion
The authors reported improved antioxidant status and reduced lipid measures in supplemented birds within this experiment.
