What Information Should You Bring?
Bring the original packaging, prescription or a clear photograph of the medicine label. Tell the veterinarian the dose, frequency, reason for use and when the most recent dose was given.
Do not stop, increase, reduce or combine medicines without veterinary guidance. Never give human medicine to your pet unless specifically instructed by a veterinarian.
When a Medicine Reaction May Be Urgent
Seek urgent veterinary help if your pet develops facial swelling, breathing difficulty, collapse, seizures, repeated vomiting or another serious reaction after receiving medicine.
